Whisking Method
Whisking Method – small chocolate cakes
Ingredients
•
50g self raising flour
•
25g cocoa powder
•
75g caster sugar
•
3 eggs
•
Teaspoon of baking powder
•
12 paper cases
•
Box or tin
Equipment
•
Large and small mixing bowls
•
Sieve
•
Tablespoon
•
Teaspoon
•
Table knife
•
Spatula
•
Metal plate
•
Electric whisk and bun tin
Method
• 1. Preheat oven 180 degrees. Place
paper cases in bun tin.
• 2. Whisk eggs and sugar in large bowl
with electric whisk until thick and
creamy. (Ribbon texture)
• 3. Sieve the SR flour, cocoa and baking
powder onto a plate.
• 4. Gradually fold the flour, cocoa and
baking powder into mixture as a figure
of eight. Use a tablespoon.
• 5. Now divide mixture evenly amongst
the paper cases.
• 6. Place bun tins carefully into the oven.
• 7. Bake for 7-10 minutes approx. until
firm and centre springs back.
• 8. Remove from the oven. Leave to cool.
