• MARC Maintenance & Layover Facility
– Support existing and expanded Penn Line operations
@ MTA controlled facility
– Provide storage for rolling stock
– Transfer maintenance & layover from Amtrak facilities
• Site Selection Report – February 2012
– Evaluated five sites
• Narrowed options down to two
– APG
– Prologis
• Site Selected - 2012
– Prologis site (Edgewood – Harford Co.)

• Why Prologis?
– Property acquisition & low risk of hazardous materials
– Traditional risks & challenges developing this site w/more
predictable resolutions & schedules
– Environmental Condition Report (ECP) for APG – Superfund
site
– Prologis is hydrogeologically upstream from APG site.
• Have entered Preliminary Engineering (PE) Phase
– Determine project Phasing
– Develop Preliminary plans
• PE concurrent with Environmental document

– Located between Magnolia & Wood interlocking
• Coordinate with Amtrak

management facility
• May be possible to reforest some in this location
