toxins
o Exotoxin A – hinders protein
translation
o ExoU (exoenzyme) – membrane
degradation leads to lysis
• Immunocompromised attacking
strains are non-mucoid
• Antibiotic resistance can be attributed
to P. aeruginosa’s development of
biofilm

variety of surfaces
