You will notice that the headings
on the Target Tallies match our
standards.
The tally is a great conversation piece
about our Target day.
Please sign and review each week.
Going above and beyond means that your student has
taken it upon him or herself to investigate a topic
beyond the class requirements. They may go home and
create a model, make a poster, find an article, visit the
library to find a book… the initiative is all theirs and
not directed by us!
Our goal is to get more students meeting in this area.
We realize that many students have activities outside
of school, and that it isn’t always possible to go above
and beyond. We would like to see at least two
instances a quarter.
They are excused from making up class work
and/or homework assigned in the regular
classroom on that day. Teachers are
expected to make accommodations, without
penalties, to ensure that concepts have been
mastered.
They are required to complete Target
homework on Target nights.
We can always be reached by email and is the best way
to contact us.
We will send out updates as needed through the year.
Most of the time homework will be posted on the blog.
Again our main communication line is the weekly
tallies.
