 A series of events in which one organism eats another
to obtain energy!
What is a food web?
 Many overlapping food chains in an ecosystem!
What is a producer
 A Plant!
What is a consumer?
 An organism that obtains energy by feeding on
another organism!
What is a primary consumer
 First level consumer- eats producer (must be an
omnivore or herbivore---NO CARNIVORES)
What is a Tertiary Consumer
 An organism at the top of the food chain- eats
secondary consumers
Carnivores…
 Eat only meat!
Herbivores
 Eat only plants
Omnivores
 Eat plants and animals
