Founded in 1987 by Steve Mariotti, we’re still going strong nationally and globally. You’re one of our many volunteers who helped over 350,000 students. NFTE Chicago Started in 2003 Works with 30 schools in Chicago area, mainly on South and West sides of Chicago Working with 1,600 students in approximately 80 NFTE classes this year Student experience MIDDLE SCHOOL EARLY HIGH SCHOOL Students learn through in-depth courses… how to develop a business. LATE HIGH SCHOOL COLLEGE, OWN A BUSINESS & BEYOND Business Plan Creation As part of the NFTE experience, every student identifies an idea for a business opportunity that he or she chooses and develops a business plan for the idea throughout the course of the year using the NFTE template. Business Plan Competitions We give students guidance and tools to help them complete their business plans. Through a series of classroom, Citywide and National Business Plan Competitions, our students present and defend their business ideas in front of panels of business professionals. These competitions are an opportunity for students to win venture grants to help them achieve their business and educational goals and a chance for all of us to celebrate their achievements.
