Our vision

Founded in 1987 by Steve Mariotti, we’re still going strong nationally and globally. You’re one of our many volunteers who helped over 350,000 students.

NY Metro Impact

Our volunteer opportunities:

• Business plan coach (1-2 hours, 3-4 months) • Business plan competition judge (1 day, 2-3 hours) • Field trip host (1 day, 2-3 hours) • Guest speaker (1 day, 1 hour)

Additional volunteer opportunities

Start Up Summer Business Advisor (10 months)

Start Up Summer is an intensive full-year program involving NFTE students who have completed a course at their local high school and are interested in taking the steps to fully launch their business ideas. Business Advisors work in teams to help students take steps to develop their business plans into operational, revenue generating ventures.

June - August (2 hours per week & via e-mail) September - April (2 hours per month & via e-mail)
