and young adults ages 12-19

were committed by youth under 18 in 2000.

homicide.
About 1 in 3 high school students
say they have been in a physical fight in the past year, and
about 1 in 8 of those students required medical attention
for their injuries
More than 1 in 6 students ….
in grades 6 to 10 say they are bullied sometimes, and more
than 1 in 12 say they are bullied once a week
Suicide….
is the third leading cause of death among teenagers in the
United States….
About 1 in 11 high school students
say they have made a suicide attempt in the past year…..
