CAIPE’s Focus

 Sharing ideas and suggesting ways in which people from different professions and occupations in the community, education institutions and in the workplace can – learn and work together, – foster mutual respect, – overcome barriers to collaboration and – engender joint action – to improve services and meet the needs of patients and clients

What does CAIPE do?

      Provides consultancy Promotes research and evaluation Provides IPE publications and resources Delivers IPE workshops Works with the international interprofessional community Influences policy in education and practice

Changes to CAIPE

 A virtual organisation: no longer London based  Managed by a voluntary board of elected trustees/directors  Administration: voluntary administrator and website manager

New Blood for membership

 Corporate members: working with wider IPE community through the forum  Student members : access to interprofessional student network

Working collaboratively, building relationships

 To Develop CAIPE Regional groups:  All over the country there is good practice in IPE and it needs to be shared.

 Employers, universities, practitioners, students, special IPE groups need to link together under one umbrella

International activities for CAIPE

 All Together Better Health : conference in Australia, April 2010 ( CAIPE and INTERED)  Working to set up Japanese IPE organisation  Continued collaborative work with seven international networks  Successful workshop tour in Australia and New Zealand  CAIPE Conference in Ireland June 2nd 2009

CAIPE STRATEGY

    Develop and sustain CAIPE Work with partner organisations to increase national and international influence of IPE in theory and practice Work with government bodies and agencies to influence IPE practice Listen to our members and shape the organisation of CAIPE to meet their needs
