2014 Room Selection

The Room Selection Process cultivates a sense of

within the students of Lincoln University.

Room Deposit Payment

Every resident expecting to go through 2014 Room Selection Process must pay a $75.00 room deposit. Room deposits will begin to be accepted on Monday, February 3, 2014 until Monday, March 14, 2014.

Payments are ONLY accepted at the Bursar’s Office in Vail Hall.

I Paid My Deposit LATE… Oops!

Room Deposits will be accepted up until Friday, March 14, 2014 .

Students that do not pay a room deposit by March 14, 2014 will NOT participate in the room selection process.

Students who do not completely participate in the Room Selection Process WILL NOT be allowed to select a room.

If you miss paying in the timeline allotted (Feb.3 - Mar. 14), Late deposits will be accepted on Monday, April 4, 2014 (ongoing) .

Room Selection vs. Return to Same Room

Room Selection A process designed for students who wish to change rooms or move to another residence hall for the 2014 academic year.

Location (Student Union Multi-Purpose room) (Monday April 7, 2014 - Friday April 11, 2014) Return to Same Room A process designed for students desiring to return to the same room for the 2014 academic year. Location (Residence Life Office, SUB 225) (Monday March 31, 2014 - Thursday April 4, 2014)

2014 Room Selection Process

Date: Monday April 7, 2014 - Friday April 11, 2014 Location: Student Union Multi-Purpose room Time: 3:00-8:00 p.m.

________________ Students MUST come during their designated day and time.

The date and time that the student is scheduled for Room Selection is determined by the student’s priority number.

Students MUST arrive with their roommate or suite mates for the 2014 academic year.

What is a Priority Number?

Priority numbers are used to determine the date and time of a student’s entrance into the Room Selection Process Priority Numbers are determine by: 1. Student Classification 2. The Date and Time a room deposit is paid Priority Numbers are issued by the Office of Residence Life to the student’s Mailroom mailboxes on Friday, March 21, 2014 by the close of business.

What is a Proxy Form?

The Proxy Form is a document used by students who are unable to participate in the room selection process Monday April 7, 2014 - Friday April 11, 2014.

Students may select ONE student to proxy for them during room selection. The student proxy must come to the room selection process, according to the pre determined priority number of the absent student.

The student proxy must bring the following items to room selection: 1. A completed proxy form 2. Copy of student’s lion card

How are students selected to reside in single rooms?

Students wishing to reside in a single/A.S.L. room must meet the following requirements: 1. Have a 2.5 GPA or above 2. Be clear of judicial holds or infractions 3. Students currently residing in a single or A.S.L must meet this criteria to reside in a single or for the 2013-2014 year.
