Development Center of Water Treatment Technology, State Oceanic Administration, Hangzhou, China.

Institute of Seawater Desalination and Multipurpose Utilization, State Oceanic Administration, Tianjin, China.

The importance of establish a strategic relationship with all research centers which will be visited by the committee. A roadmap for high efficiency desalination had been proposed to the committee by Mr. Harry Seah and been reviewed. A clear and general worldwide-desalination roadmap should be developed.

A list of well known speakers whom can talk about new trends in research-directions during the next IDA Conference will be developed. The possibility of having a section on IDA Journal specialized in R&D will be discussed with the IDA Journal Editor Mr. John Hughes .
