Dr. Beny J. Primm!
They had a
daughter, Dr. Eraka
Patty Jene Bath!
She invented the
Laserphaco Probe
She was the first AfricanAmerican woman to
successfully remove the
cataract lenses, and cure
blindness.

In 1964 she graduated
from Hunter College. She
then attended Howard
University in Washington,
D.C.
Patricia earned her MD
degree with honors in
1968!
Bath graduated from Howard
University of Medicine. And to pay
off for her hard work, she was the
first person to successfully remove
the cataract lenses!
Patricia is still alive today at age
72, and healthy.
Hopefully some young
inventor will be
inspired by her
marvelous work.
