SUSTAINABILITY TRAINING Business challenges in your industry An increasing demand for more sustainable solutions from retailers is a good reason why you should define your approach to sustainability. Another reason could be that regulation favors sustainable solutions, and thirdly, you may want to capitalize more broadly on opportunities or your own credentials related to sustainability as a market shaper and/or sales driver. Novozymes’ solution Novozymes offers training in Sustainability intended to help you build new capabilities and insights that will increase your chance of succeeding in using sustainability to create more business. We tailor our training to your actual needs and challenges, and therefore the scope will vary. Examples: Issue-specific This could be regarding enzymes and climate change or sustainable supply chain management Strategy-focused training Typically addressing strategic challenges, e.g. how to integrate sustainability into the business strategy or how to implement sustainability in Sales Benefits that make a difference Development of a sustainability approach, systems, organization and competencies will help you mitigate risks and create opportunities for using sustainability as a sales driver. Furthermore, the training may help you become aware of areas where development of your own sustainability credentials can create a competitive edge and strengthen your value propositions. STEPWISE ACTIVITY DELIVERY PROCESS Process Customer needs What • dialog Dialogue with the customer team to clarify their interest in sustainability and to discuss the impact of sustainability on business opportunities. • Might be relevant for the AccM to use the Fitness Test and other tools to prepare for the meeting. See toolbox. • There is also a chance that the customer has already at this stage received a sustainability information presentation by Novozymes and thereby identified a need for training Assess relevance • The Account manager assesses the potential relevance and value of offering the customer sustainability training and gets in touch with Sust. Dev. about the possibilities. Clarification of • scope for training Training content Sust. Dev. in order to set expectations, clarify needs, and thereby determine the scope. • development Delivery Scope of the training is determined. Ideally, a meeting is held with the customer, Account Manager and Based on the decisions made in Step 3, Sust. Dev. develops training contents together with the customer representative • Sust. Dev. delivers the training, which might also require the involvement of other Novozymes’ specialists/experts depending on the customer’s needs Follow-up • Follow up on the impact of the training on business opportunities. This service is delivered by Novozymes’ Sustainability Development team
