What country did your dance originate
from and what year was it Created?
• The dance was from Para
Brazil and the year it was
created was in the
1980.Especially it was in
Latin America and
Caribbean Countries.
What is the meaning of the
dance?
•Its an idea of
'dirty dancing' it
s quite extensive.
What are the costumes worn or what
did the dancers wear?
• Short skirts wore for
women and the men
wore trousers.

Have the Costumes changed,if so

• They look like there
dancing the Cha-ChaCha
• The Costumes didn't
change.

Costumes?

created?
• This is a smoother
style
• I could't find the
Anwser but i thing it
was from Brazil and i
think that people from
barzil wanted to make
a dance.

has it evolved?
• Around 1983 the
carimbo which is the
Lambada it Brazil the
dance changed to a
2-beat style which
was created in
Merengue which had
lots of spins.And the
Lambada spreads to
Bahia which they
changed it to 4-beat
style.

• Just do it well and
don't muck up,you
must do lots of
spins because the
point is to spin your
partner(the girls)
around.

• The beat of the drums made of trunks of
wood,thinned by fire.

people of all ages learn the dance?
There is which it could be up to 5-50
because it s hard for little kids and old
audlts to dance it.

shoes worn for your dance?
• When your like learning you don't need
like you don't need slippers or leather
shoes but in a competiton you must wear
slippers and leather shoes.
Is your dance only perfromed in
one country
• No,it can be pefromed in any country and
steps have changed in other countrys.
With your particular dance,do diffrerent
countries have the same or diffrerent
interpretations?
• In other countrys they have diffrerent in
interpretations.

• It can be perfromed with a partner a group
or in the training room you can do it single.

• It is Carmibo Kaoma and Carnival
Is there a specfic way that the dances
have their hair styled prepared and make
up?
• If you want to you can if you don't you
don't need to.
Has the music evolved over the
years?
• Yes,like Gipsy music arabian music, soca,
Merengue,Salsa and Zouk.
Write a paragrahp about our Folk dancing lessons and
have you enjoyed it and what you found difficult
• I have enjoyed every lessons of folk dancing.It is
very fun doing i have learned lots of things like
the Basic,New Yorker,Shoulder to
Shoulder,Lockstep the top and the Cuben
Brakes.
The part where i found hard was the Cuben brakes
because you have to start very fast and i can't
keep up,but hopefully i might get better.
