India is weakened by diversity. Many
cultures/religions. Cannot stop the company.
Instills western education and government.
Use of SEPOY’s as a fighting army.

– Native Indian fighting for the British power .

Worked to end slavery within the CASTE SYSTEM.

– A specific group you fall into from birth. (I.e. class of
society)
ended SATI -- widow being burned after husbands
death.

The Bad

religion on Indians.
Not aware of natives’ culture.
View Indians as unable to peacefully rule themselves.
MISTAKES AND MUTINY
Forgot about certain Indian customs/culture.
