Therefore, mutually beneficial.
Value-added and Innovative (1)

Proof of Concept Fund Idea

Purpose of PoC:



Address the TWO big uncertainties of early stage development:



Support technologies/business ideas
To reduce the risks by investors involved in early development to the
stage.
Manufacturability
Marketability.
Evaluation Methods of PoC--must assess both:


The probability that the project proposal will be successfully carried
out.
The potential to create a business opportunity from the
technology/idea
Value-added and Innovative (2)

Proof of Concept idea in UK




The centre of global innovation networks among the world
Use research and innovation to meet international development goals
Drive UK research and industry application in high-tech area, such as
Bioscience, Nano-materials and Space technology.
Proof of Concept idea in China



A brand-new idea introduced to Chinese research area
Encourage Chinese research to become commercially-oriented and
competitive
Enhance capability of Chinese to collaborate with a world class research
community
