Steps For Using An
FCCLA State Or National Program
• Select a program that fits your FACS, Culinary or
Education Program and member’s interest.
• Learn about the program by accessing online resources.
• Talk with other advisers.
• Help members learn about the program and provide
resources.
• Start small, with a short-term project or single activity.
• Publicize your project.
`
National Program Examples
Career Connection guides students to
develop, plan, carry out, and evaluate
projects within six units, focusing
activities on different aspects of career
development.
`
Example: Conduct personal interest inventories to
determine student’s interests, strengths, and
abilities. Use the inventories to guide students in a
career exploration project. Students create a career
portfolio that creates a plan for meeting their future
career goals.
