All the application servers for Sinopec SenMei (Fujian) Petroleum are located in the room of HQ. There are
some available information systems: Fuel-filling IC card system, ERP system, Sales business management
system, Financial report system, Point of sale system, OA system, Archives system, etc. The data for these
system are critical.

The business data are saved in the internal disks from servers respectively.
▬
It is difficult to expand the capacity and manage.
▬
The data in the internal disk are not safe.

Background & Challenges

The business data are saved in the internal disk from singe server, without any data protection
▬
Once the operation system in server crashes, the business will be stopped.
▬
There is not any remote backup for the business data currently. Once the disaster occurs, the data will be lost

Adopting 1*S5500 and 1*S5300;
▬
S5500 is deployed in production center and S5300 in DR center
▬
The data in the server are backup to S5500 through DiskGuard software, and then replicate to S5300 in DR
center through Asynchronous remote replication function between S5500 and S5300, realizing the remote
disaster recovery
