A template is a pre-designed slide show where you fill in the
blanks
◦ Click on the File tab.
◦ Click on New.
◦ From the New Presentation window, make your selection.
 Click on a theme, or
 Click on one of the suggested searches and then click on a theme, or
 Enter a search term in the Search box and then click on a theme.
◦ Click on the Create button.

Slides appear in the window on the left

In Slide Sorter view, click and drag the slide from
its current position to its new position

Previews the slide show exactly as the audience will see it.
◦ To begin with the current slide:
 Click on the Slide Show button on the status bar
◦ To begin with slide #1:
 Press F5 on the keyboard

In Normal view:
◦ Click on the thumbnail on the left side.
◦ Press the Delete key on the keyboard.

Slide Sorter view:
◦ Click on the slide you want to delete.
◦ Press the Delete key on the keyboard.

To jump to any slide:
◦ Right-click on the current slide.
◦ From the popup menu, click on See All

◦ Click on the slide you want to jump to.

To draw on your slides during
the presentation:
◦ Right-click on the slide.
◦ Click on Pointer options.
◦ Click on your desired drawing
tool.
◦ Draw by holding the left mouse
button down and dragging the
mouse.

Click on the Design tab.
In the Themes group, click on the More button.
Click on the desired theme.

Navigate to the desired picture and click on Insert.

In the Links group, click on Hyperlink.

Put each slide show you create in its own folder.
Before inserting a movie or sound, copy the movie or sound
file into the folder for the slide show!
Then copy the entire folder to a USB drive, burn it to a CD, or
zip it up and email it to yourself.

If the computer you use for your presentation doesn’t have
PowerPoint, you are in big trouble!
Option 1: Have the free PowerPoint viewer installed on the
computer (requires administrative privileges!).
Option 2: Save the presentation in another format:
◦ Video: MPEG-4, WMV
◦ Image: GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP
◦ Document: PDF

Option 3: Use Libre Office. It’s free.
