The goal was art that
emphasizes the extreme
expressive properties of art
forms in order to explore
subjective emotions and
psychological truth.
Edvard Munch
Although he spent time in Paris learning
Impressionism & Post-Impressionism his most
creative period was in Berlin.
Munch specialized in
portraying extreme emotions
like jealousy, sexual desire and
loneliness.
