– Identify one standard for each platform
(PC/Apple) and no more than 2 alternatives

• DeskNet Working Group reviews, modifies and
defines during a scheduled meeting
• Hardware recommendations and Software
standards are reviewed every academic year
• Spring is used as trigger to update the
standards
• All standards are posted on it.emory.edu
• Any significant changes to a standard will have
a detailed migration and communications plan
