A resume is your first chance to show an employer
you are the best candidate.
• Resumes can be submitted for review via email to
[email protected] or dropped off in the career center (SC235)
• Approximately 1 week turnaround time for reviews
An employer will spend less than 30 seconds reviewing
your resume before deciding “yes” or “no”
Mock Interviews are a great opportunity to become
familiar with interview questions
• The mock interview will consist of a 45 minute
one-on-one appointment
• The interview can be a generic interview or practice
for a specific position
Walk out the door with specific
strategies to increase your
interviewing confidence
In addition to resumes and mock interviews, Career
Services has all the tools necessary to help you find
a job.

October 6th: Resume Critique
First 10 students to bring a completed resume to SC235 receive a coupon for a free Yogurt
Parfait from Commons.
November 1st: Cover Letter Critique
First 10 to bring a completed cover letter to SC235 receive a coupon for a free Yogurt
Parfait from Commons.
December 2nd: Mock Interview Sign-Up
First 10 to sign-up for and complete a Mock Interview receive a special treat!

Career Fair
• Held Annually in Spring
– Next Career Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27,
2012 from 11 AM – 2 PM in the Commons
• Employers onsite at NWTC seeking out our
graduates
• Last years Career Fair hosted over 80 employers
• Preparation sessions are held to help students gear
up for the event
