“cream” of Moscow society;
• received his early education at home;
• at the age of 8 composed his first poem;
• published his first poem “Ruslan and
Lyudmila” in 1820 and became famous;
• created literary Russian, wrote a lot of
poems;
• had political views close to the
“Decembrists”;
• died after a duel;
• buried in Svyatogorsk Monastery near his
family estate Mikhailovskoye;
• the best known work is “Eugene Onegin”
