What is the GreenSeeker RT200?
Zone Managing Variable Rate Nitrogen
Applicator.
Uses GeenSeeker Sensors averaged
together to produce a mean NDVI for the
particular zone.
Controls the application rate of existing
control systems.
Resolution of approx. 4000 square feet.

RT200 Resolution
RT500 Resolution
Pros and Cons
Advantages
• Low cost compared to
GreenSeeker RT500
• Uses the already
existing boom
• Fewer sensors and
cables
Disadvantages
• Poor Resolution
compared to RT500
• Large Lag Time in
Controller Response
approx 4.0 sec = 60 ft
• Applies fertilizer
based on previous
zone readings.

RT200 Statistics
(Dague Field)
RT200
• Average NDVI = .375
• Average NDVI
readings if sensor
placement is shifted 2
feet down the boom
.416, .433, .415, .413
RT500
• Average NDVI = .419
(average of entire
field)
Conclusions
• GreenSeeker RT200 has its place in
Precision Agricultural mainly due to the
low risk associated with this from of
variable rate nitrogen application.
• This system is still able to address the
issue of temporal variability, but spatial
variability is being buffered due to lack of
resolution proper control.
