James 5:13-20
Is anyone among you suffering? Let
him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him
sing psalms. Is anyone among you
sick? Let him call for the elders of the
church, and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of
the Lord. And the prayer of faith will
save the sick, and the Lord will raise
him up. And if he has committed sins,
he will be forgiven. Confess your
trespasses to one another, and pray for
one another, that you may be healed.
The effective, fervent prayer of a
righteous man avails much. Elijah was
a man with a nature like ours, and he
prayed earnestly that it would not rain;
and it did not rain on the land for three
years and six months. And he prayed
again, and the heaven gave rain, and
the earth produced its fruit.
Brethren, if anyone among you wanders
from the truth, and someone turns him
back, let him know that he who turns a
sinner from the error of his way will
save a soul from death and cover a
multitude of sins.

‘Praise’ appears in the Bible ___

times.
Psalm 145:1-10
I will extol You, my God, O King; And
I will bless Your name forever and
ever. Every day I will bless You, And I
will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be
praised; And His greatness is
unsearchable. One generation shall
praise Your works to another, And
shall declare Your mighty acts. I will
meditate on the glorious splendor of
Your majesty, and on Your wondrous
works. Men shall speak of the might of
Your awesome acts, and I will declare
Your greatness. They shall utter the
memory of Your great goodness, and
shall sing of Your righteousness. The
LORD is gracious and full of
compassion, slow to anger and great in
mercy. The LORD is good to all, and
His tender mercies are over all His
works. All Your works shall praise You,
O LORD, and Your saints shall bless
You.
Psalm 149
Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a
new song, and His praise in the
assembly of saints. Let Israel rejoice in
their Maker; let the children of Zion be
joyful in their King. Let them praise
His name with the dance; let them sing
praises to Him with the timbrel and
harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in
His people; He will beautify the
humble with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them
sing aloud on their beds. Let the high
praises of God be in their mouth,
and a two-edged sword in their hand,
to execute vengeance on the nations,
and punishments on the peoples; to bind
their kings with chains, and their nobles
with fetters of iron; to execute on them
the written judgment—this honor have
all His saints. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His
sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty
firmament! Praise Him for His mighty
acts; praise Him according to His
excellent greatness! Praise Him with
the sound of the trumpet; praise Him
with the lute and harp! Praise Him
with the timbrel and dance; praise Him
with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let
everything that has breath praise the
LORD. Praise the LORD!

1 Corinthians 11:28-32
But let a man examine himself, and so
let him eat of the bread and drink of
the cup. For he who eats and drinks in
an unworthy manner eats and drinks
judgment to himself, not discerning the
Lord’s body. For this reason many are
weak and sick among you, and many
sleep. For if we would judge ourselves,
we would not be judged. But when we
are judged, we are chastened by the
Lord, that we may not be condemned
with the world.
