1. The Child & Family Advocacy Certificate Program

and social work professional communities &

• Apply to the Child & Family Advocacy
Certificate Program
• Program is comprised of three components:
1. Core Curriculum:
a) Integrated Law & SW Seminar in Child Welfare
b) Child Welfare/Abuse & Neglect Course in Social Work
2. Elective Course
a) Family Law elective from Law College (several to
choose)
3. Law & Social Work Clinic Externship
• Broad definition of child welfare-Clinic handles a
variety of legal matters involving children
• Law & social work graduate students paired
together to complete work
• Law students complete one
semester of externship12 hours per week
