Glassware and Equipment

Balance
• balance assignment
• Keep area clean (possible deduction for untidiness)

Student locker:

All glassware must be present, clean, and in same condition
as received
Damaged or missing glassware deducted from caution card
Important:
These lockers are not to be used as personal lockers. Please do not
store lab coats, safety glasses, and/or laboratory notebooks in these
lockers. These items will be confiscated if found in the lockers.
Calculations

Request to review calculations will only be
considered if:
• written in ink (no pencil)
• written directly in laboratory notebook (no looseleaf papers)
• within two weeks of when the experiment was
performed
Answer Cards
All answer cards are due two days after the
laboratory session
 Grades are based on accuracy of unknown
 Do not include calculations
 Questions regarding calculations should
contact GA’s directly (not at last minute!)
 Cards will be marked once every group has
submitted a card


Make-Up Experiment

 May be scheduled outside of regularly
scheduled laboratory session
 Choice of ONE experiment (Experiment 1 to 4)
 Must attend the introductory laboratory to
qualify for a make-up experiment
 Laboratory grade assigned for repeated
experiment will be the recorded grade


If the grade is lower than previously acquired, the
lower grade will be the accepted grade
Attendance
Contact your GA immediately if absent
 Medical note is required within 2 to 3 days of
missed laboratory
 Consequences
 Limited room in laboratory sections


Any disputes or concerns regarding a
laboratory grade must be addressed no later
than two weeks after experiment has finished
