The brightest and the most interesting holiday in winter
is the New Year’s. It is day celebrated in the night from
the 31-st December for January, 1st. In this night
nobody sleeps, all have fun, start fireworks and give
each other gifts. The holiday is marked near an elegant
fur tree and we wait for Father Frost.
Christmas - surprising time when heart is
filled with miracle expectation... And this
miracle occurs!. Each of us tries to spend
this day not how any another: to present
good and love to the loved one, to become
better, and the most important thing - is
closer to God
On February, 23rd is celebrated "Day of the
defender of Fatherland" in Russia. On this day
we pay a tribute of respect and thanks to
those who protected the native earth from
enemies, and also that who in a peace time
draws hard and responsible duty.
The cheerful seeing-off of the
winter which has been lit up by
joyful expectation of close heat,
spring in Russia are marked by
pancake week celebrating.
It is the most cheerful, national
and nourishing holiday, lasting
the whole week.
