• SAKSHAM at Kannur University, Mangattuparamba Campus, Dharmasala, Kerala
commenced on 9th March. 2015.
 Participants in this batch are from different affiliated colleges of Calicut University.
 Training was conducted at Department of Computer Science, Kannur University,
Mangattuparamba Campus, Dharmasala
 Many participants in this batch are very new to computers and have rarely worked on
computers. Whereas some participants are working on computers from long time.
Faculty members of Computer Science department also took part in training.
 This batch is a mix of participants of different levels of knowledge and varied
experience of working on computers.

Participants did a hands-on practice on Microsoft Lync in real time by
presenting their content thru Lync

Participants receiving certificates after completion of Saksham Training. Prof. Kumaran,
HOD, Statistics Department, distributing certificates on valedictory.
Take Aways
• Participants found all the sessions very interesting. especially Microsoft Excel,
Advance features of PowerPoint, OneDrive, Office Online and Lync.
• Participants found Office Web Apps and SkyDrive very useful for
collaboration and data collection.
• The sessions on Windows Accessibility Features was very well appreciated by
all the participants.
• Features of Lync for Voice-Video conferencing, document sharing, poll and
presentation sharing were very much appreciated by all. Participants used
Lync in real time to share their content with others.
• Participants took Learning Content Development System (LCDS) sessions
with great interest and enthusiasm.

The Saksham program was very useful. If this program have any chance in future to
conduct training in Kannur university I surely attend that training also (because it is very
useful ).
We got a new idea about indexing and master slide preparation.
We assure that this training idea will pass to our students also.

Day one - features of MS Word
the session was very useful to me is concerned because, I learned many new options in MS word and how to use the
MS Word easily
Day Two - Features of MS Powerpoint
the session was very useful we learned options such as making a theme slide ie Slide master, password protection
and many other options
Day three - Features of MS Excel
this day we leaned how to make the data sheet, making formula by using Fx, arranging of sheets based on order and
identifying statictical and mathematical values of the sheet
Day four - Features of MS Exel
in this session we leanred new options in Excel related to Filter, Formating, identifying the entered column etc
Day Five - Features of Linc Web Application
this was the mast interestind and informative session . in this session we learned how to make a virtual classroom,
interact with the members using the microfne and speaker, present Ppt, Poll, viewing the moniter etc.
we are very thankful to you for presenting this type of workshop, through this workshop we are able to make use of
the computer and internet more effectivel for the teaching and leaning purpose. sir your class was very precise and
easy to understand. you presented all the essential information that the leaner needs
