Attention Juniors & Seniors
This week is your chance to pick a prom
theme. The choices are “Secret Garden,”
“Black and White , and Gatsby. Junior class
officers will be going around during lunch
collecting money. The theme that gets the
most money will be the theme for the this
year’s prom. Make sure you vote for your
favorite theme.
Attention all Juniors
who are taking the Writing SOL in MarchDon't miss out on a special after-school tutoring
session each Wednesday in February from 2:30
-3:30 in room S224 held by Ms. Walters and
Mrs. Coleman to prepare you for the upcoming
test. Snacks will be provided."
Sophomore Class Officers
There will be a meeting next Tuesday,
February 17th at 2:30 p.m. in Mrs.
Jackson's room C105. The meeting will
encompass our Spring Fundraising event.

The Girls Tennis Team
Conditioning for girls tennis team has
been canceled for this week.
Conditioning will resume on Tuesday, FEB
17th @ 2:40pm – 4:00pm. Please check
the girls Tennis Team website for more
information.

GUIDANCE
Challenge Permission Slips
are Available
now in the main office. Make sure you secure your
spot in this important program. If you are in 11th
or 12th grade and have previously participated in
Challenge Day and are interested in participating
again- you have the opportunity to be a Challenge
Day Teen Leader. This is great way to get some
experience in a leadership position. Please see
Ms. Worhatch for more details.

Dual Enrollment Tuition is Due
For all Seniors currently enrolled in
Mr. Andrews DE English class.
The deadline is Tuesday, February 17th.
Please bring your payment to Mrs. Bryant
in the Counseling Center.
Attention AP Students!
The deadline to pay for your AP Exams is
February 27, 2015.
You can pay your exam fees to Ms. Bliss in the
Counseling Center or Mrs. Ritchie in the main office.
Payments will be accepted before and after school
daily. Checks or Cash are accepted. EXACT CHANGE
ONLY. After February 27th there will be
an additional $55.00 late fee attached to each exam
you are taking.
Club News
Friday is Crazy Hat Day
FCCLA has a goal to raise $300 this week for Hope for
Tomorrow.
To wear a hat you must purchase a wristband for $1
before Friday at 7:40am.
See an FCCLA member or stop by N114 to
participate.

There are key club meetings on
Thursday in S 205
There is a mandatory
forensics meeting
Thursday after school. We will be
discussing conference forensics. All
members of the team must see me if
they cannot be present.
Students & Faculty
Come Out & Support the SHS Step Team
for their first competition on
Saturday, February 21 at Dodd
Auditorium, George Washington Hall
located at Mary Washington
University. Time is 7pm and tickets
are $7 at the door.
Anyone interested in trying out for
GIRLS SOCCER
should attend the girls soccer meeting
on Wednesday, Feb 11 at 2:30 in room
S206. Please contact Mrs. Boney in
S206 if you cannot attend but are
interested in trying out.

treat for your friends.?
Key Club is selling sets of hearts that will
attach to your friend’s locker on Thursday,
February 12th . The cost is only $2 and all the
money goes to the American Cancer Society.
Hearts will be on sale each
X-Day through February 11th .
You can also see Mrs. Bridges in Room S-205.
Please be extra observant and
drive with caution
as you enter and leave school.
& Don’t forget to dress warmly. It’s
colder than you think.
