Individual Mobility:

small grants for professional development activities in another country – A college lecturer who travelled to Denmark to job shadow social pedagogy experts – A diversity consultant who attended a course on equal opportunities in diverse communities – A college learning technology manager who attended a study visit on improvement of teaching techniques through ICT

Small Scale Co-operation Projects:

partnerships with European organisations on a relevant topic of mutual interest – A college that worked with partners to reduce drop out rates – An employment service partnership to support recruitment agencies to get people with disabilities into work – A heritage organisation that worked with partners to share and preserve traditional dry stone wall construction methods – A charity that collaborated on examining the role of education for adults with learning difficulties

Mobility Projects:

send students, trainees, jobseekers or staff on work placements or job shadowing in another country – A college that sent teaching staff on job shadowing placements in The Netherlands – A non-profit organisation which placed youth workers with disadvantaged students in Germany – A college that sent hospitality and tourism students to work at a holiday resort in Spain – A training provider that sent apprentices to a global engineering company in Germany

Large Scale Co-operation Projects:

manage a partnership of European organisations to develop new approaches to education and training – The college network that collaborated to transfer systems for supporting teachers in their subject areas – A social enterprise that worked with European organisations to develop a language resource for migrant job seekers – A NHS Hospital Trust that worked with European healthcare organisations to develop an e-learning package for postgraduate medical training

Funding

Over €26 million allocated in 2011 across Leonardo, Grundtvig and Transversal

• Grants range from €1,000 to over €1 million depending on the scale and type of activity • Match funding only required for large scale co-operation projects
