My first year at Baylor was such an amazing
experience!
It was definitely a challenging transition, and I’m so
grateful for the foundation that the teachers from
Klein Collins gave me. I don’t think I would have
adapted so well to the change and to all my classes if
not for everything I learned from my KC teachers.
I’d especially like to thank my English teachers for
honing my writing skills and encouraging my passion
for English, and Ms. Page, Mrs. Buffington, Mrs. Pope,
and Mrs. Kruse for all of their wonderful influence and
encouragement over my years at KC! And, of course,
I’d like to thank my wonderful mom, Kim Drain, for
always supporting me, even when I give you so much
grief for not listening to you in the first place. (I love
you!)
Thank you so much KCHS! Go tigers!!
I learned a lot at Klein Collins, some things I may never use, others I find myself
using all time, like the diplomacy, problem solving, and the determination to stick
with things that are difficult. I’ve found that those skills have been the most
valuable and most used while I’ve been at UT. I didn’t feel completely overwhelmed
because the teachers at KC prepared me far better than I could have imagined. If
Mr. Froebel hadn’t given me photo assignments he knew would be difficult for me I
would still be a shy, timid student afraid to try anything. I wouldn’t have had the
nerve to introduce myself to the dean of the College of Communication and I
wouldn’t have gotten into my program. Thank you for the countless hours of
teaching, grading, and motivating and preparing me for my future.

College is one of the biggest challenges that I have had to face
in my life. Klein Collins has helped me face that challenge and
excel in other challenges that I have encountered. The faculty
at Collins are the main reason why I can walk into a classroom
at Missouri Valley College and be confident in the subject of
that class. From algebra to computer programming, I have the
confidence to excel in the subject. Some of the teachers that
made this possible for me are: Mrs. Polis, Mr. Hardin, Coach
Coleman, and Mrs. Reeves.
There is one teacher in particular that never gave up on me
even though he had multiple opportunities to. He was always
there through the good and the bad and he opened the door
for me to be where I am today. Coach Kenny Rucker
introduced me to a sport that I never thought I would excel in.
The day he asked me to wrestle was the day that changed my
life. Four years later, I found myself signing a wrestling
scholarship offer. Thanks to the faculty, I am able to follow my
dreams and be confident in everything I do. Although I am a
MVC Viking now, I will always be a Klein Collins Tiger!

Dear Teachers, Coaches, Staff and Administration,
I would like to thank you for an incredible high school
experience and for preparing me for a successful
future. You will never know the impact you have made
on my life. The teachers and coaches at Klein Collins
have taught me basic skills and study habits, but more
importantly, you have instilled values in me that have
helped me reach greater goals. With the help of Coach
Rhodes and Coach Troutman, I have learned that any
dream I have is possible to accomplish with hard work
and a positive attitude. I would like to thank the
encouraging staff and administration that have always
gone the extra mile to make me better prepared for
college and have really cared about making their
students successful. I was so blessed to receive quality
teachers that have helped me become the person I am
today. Thank you for everything.

I could not have asked for a better first year at Texas State. I felt
like the year went by much faster than I thought it would. I am
thankful to have had such a great staff at Klein Collins to help
me in being successful in my first year of college. I would like to
thank Mrs. Jones for helping me realize my potential, and
helping me join a sorority. A big thank you to Coach Pike for
pushing me in soccer, and Mrs. Martinez for being so patient
with me in math. As I continue my journey through college, I
will not forget the people who helped me get this far. Thank
you and I wish the best for this school year.

I owe a lot to the administration and staff at
Klein Collins. My teachers were instrumental to
my success in high school - they always pushed
me to be better than I thought I could be. College
is a challenge, and I am learning new skills all
the time. But I wouldn’t be where I am today if I
had not have had such a positive influence from
my teachers. They taught me much more than
mathematics, science, or literature. They taught
me to always do your best, do more than is
expected of you, and that simply putting forth all
your effort will get you much farther in life. And
I’d like to say thank you to the administration at
Klein Collins for not only teaching your
students, but truly believing in them. Thank you
Mr. Britt, for sharing your love of engineering
with me, you made such an impact on my life!

My first year at Texas A&M went by faster than
I could ever have imagined. My transition from
high school to college was definitely a
challenge, and I have Klein Collins to thank for
how well I was able to adapt. My teachers,
classes, and the organizations I was involved
in were outstanding in preparing me for the
rigorous classes and exciting opportunities I
have been introduced to as an Aggie, and I
truly felt prepared for everything I undertook
over the past year. Each faculty member I had
the honor of getting to know impacted me in a
positive way, and I am so grateful for that.
Class of 2014, I wish each and every one of
you the best of luck during your senior year,
and I can only hope Klein Collins has been as
good to you as it was to me!

My first year of college was a blast and a half! My
transition to the University of Texas was
marvelous, and I cannot thank the faculty and staff
of Klein Collins enough for that. Thanks to the great
preparation I received, I was able to excel in both
my schoolwork and activities, all while having a
fantastic time. The time management skills and
study habits I learned in high school could not have
prepared me better for the challenges I have faced
at UT.
Class of 2014, I hope you all have the greatest of
senior years, and remember to enjoy every minute
of it, because high school will be over before you
know it!

Because of Klein Collins, I had the best high
school experience I could have had. I learned
from the best educators and I got to be a part
of wonderful organizations. College is hard,
but I was definitely more prepared because
of the education I received here. I learned so
many valuable lessons that I can take with
me anywhere. I’m proud to say I was a Tiger!
Shout out to Stacy “Burnham” Ache
for being such a great mentor and my
inspiration for my career choice!
Thank you!!!

Klein Collins provided me an excellent
foundation for college. I felt prepared
for difficult college courses because
of the hard work my teachers put in
to challenge us each and every day.
Even more importantly, my teachers
supported me through all my
endeavors and continuously pushed
me to be a better student and a
better person. Thank you all for your
inspirational work and for your neverending dedication to help your
students grow and flourish. Special
thanks to Ms. Templeman for always
believing in me!

I didn’t realize how much Klein Collins
would have affected me, until I got to
college. I learned so many valuable
things that I don’t believe I would have
learned if I had attended anywhere else.
My teachers taught me to work hard
and to believe in myself. I got to be a
part of so many great organizations and
I’m thankful that I am a Klein Collins
graduate. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!
Shout out to Stacy “Burnham”
Ache for believing in me and
and giving me so many great
opportunities!

Dear Faculty and Staff,
I would like to thank all of you for such a
memorable and rewarding four years at Klein
Collins. My first year at Texas State was definitely
challenging and a huge adjustment to say the
least. I don’t think I would have made it through
this first year at Texas State without that drive
and determination that you instilled in me during
my years at Klein Collins. I would also like to
extend a special thank you to Coach Rhodes and
Coach Troutman. You are both determined and
hard working women that have impacted my life
tremendously. You have instilled values and
morals that have helped shape my life in so many
ways. I am so beyond blessed to have had the
opportunity to get to know both of you and I
would like to thank you as well as the faculty and
staff here at Klein Collins for all your help and
support.
Thank you to all my
teachers and coaches at
KCHS. Without you all, I
would not be the person
that I am. I learned many
lessons about specific
subjects while at KC, but
I also learned lessons
about life. A special
shout out to Coach Rosie
Rhodes and all my
English & Math teachers
who rocked it! (Also my
French teacher ;-).
Though I had to leave
early to get to summer
school at UT, I thank you
all and will forever
remember you.
GO TIGERS!

The teachers at KC really taught me accountability and good
test taking skills. I have really used both skills in college. I
felt prepared when taking tests for various subject courses and
I really understood the importance of doing your work and
doing it on time. College wasn't as much of a culture shock as
it would have been without teachers who really valued our
future. I truly loved my first year in college and had excellent
grades and I know it was all because of the values that were
instilled in me at Collins.

Klein Collins prepared me not only for
higher education but also prepared
me for leadership roles. Many
teachers impacted my high school
experience and proved themselves as
excellent role models, I think of them
often. As an Aggie, I am academically
challenged daily and I am so grateful
for the well rounded foundation that
Klein Collins provided.
Thanks and Gig'em!!!!

Dear Teachers, Coaches, & Staff,
You may never know the differences you’ve made in
all of your students’ lives. But as a former student, I
would like to thank all of you for the impact you’ve
had in mine. You were my teachers, but you always
went out of your way by tutoring, mentoring,
counseling, and leading by example. I am attending
Concordia University and last year my GPA for both
semesters was a 4.0 because of the great education
I received from Klein Collins.
It took me a while to realize it, but the four years I
spent at Klein Collins were the best years of my life. I
especially want to thank everyone who went out of
their way to get to know me as a person. The
memories I made at this school will last me a lifetime
and, I am blessed that Klein Collins was my home for
those short four years.

My first year of college practically flew
by! It was definitely different from high
school but was a journey that the Klein
Collins staff left me well prepared for! I
am so grateful to all the teachers that I
have had throughout the years! I would
like to give a special thank you to Ms.
Gold for always reminding me to
pursue my dreams and to never let a
smile leave my face. I would also like to
thank Coach Foster for teaching me the
true definition of determination.
Exactly one year ago, I left Klein Collins
having learned many different values
and I am proud to say that one I will
never forget is Mr. Matheson’s, “Make
it a great day or not Tigers, the Choice
is yours”. Thank you Klein Collins for
making such a great impact on my life.
Klein Collins opened many doors of
opportunities with the help of numerous
faculty members that gave me their support
and guidance. There were quite a few teachers
I had throughout the four years I was there
who sincerely left an impact on me and shaped
me into the person who I am today. For
example, I feel by having Mrs. Bryan as a
teacher for my senior year was a blessing in
disguise. She played a big role in preparing me
for the transformation of high school to
college. With that being said, I would like to
express to her, along with the other faculty
members, my absolute gratitude for all of their
support because it really means the world to
me. It is without a doubt that your dedication
and lifting spirits are what pushes me to want
Eat em’ Up Kats! to succeed at Sam Houston State University.

Teachers are the ones who educate the younger
generation, and they are the ones who inspire us to
find where our passions lie. The teachers at Klein
Collins were the ones who helped me find my
passions, and they gave me some of the best
preparation and advice I could have gotten for my
transition into college. I cannot thank enough Mrs.
Marek, Coach Del Donno, and Coach Bevan for
pushing me to become better than who I was.
Thank you to Mrs. Salinas, Mrs. Drugan, and Mr. Drugan for showing me
how much teachers care about their students and how much they’ll do to
help them succeed. Thank you to Mr. Henderson who influenced my major
more than anyone. There are so many other teachers I want to thank for
making me the person I am today. Our teachers should always be
appreciated because they are the ones who help shape us.
THANKS KLEIN COLLINS AND GIG ‘EM!!!
