BENEFITS OF FOUNDATION + ENDORSEMENTS AND
DISTINGUISHED LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT vs.
FOUNDATION PLAN

The Foundation High School Plan
prepares a student for a junior college, but
it is not designed to prepare a student for
the 4 year university. It is your
responsibility to contact the college or
university that you plan to attend regarding
that specific school’s admission
requirements.
7/21/2015
12
BENEFITS OF FOUNDATION + ENDORSEMENTS AND
DISTINGUISHED LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT vs.
FOUNDATION


Many four year university admissions
requirements include 4 years of math, with
Algebra 2 or higher mathematics coursework.
Completing one or more endorsement(s) allows
a student the opportunity to acquire a deeper
level of understanding within a specific area.
This may be more beneficial for college and
career readiness than a random selection of
electives.
7/21/2015
13
BENEFITS OF FOUNDATION + ENDORSEMENTS AND
DISTINGUISHED LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT vs.
FOUNDATION PLAN

Regardless of class rank, only students on
the Distinguished Level of Achievement
are eligible for Top 10% Automatic
Admission consideration.
7/21/2015
14
Foundation Only
In most cases, the Foundation
Plan without endorsements will
not meet the core requirements
for 4 year universities.
