Walt Disney’s life
in the Kansas
City Art Institute!
At 14, Walter received permission from his
father to attend Saturday morning classes
at the KCAI on the ground that it was
“educational”.
LIFE IN SCHOOL
AND YIS BROTHERS!
 In 1917 Walter graduated from high
school in Chicago.
 His brothers were already in the Army or
in the Navy.
First Disney’s film.
Walter called it Alice in Wonderland.
Walter and his brother Roy
started working at the Disney
Studio.
One day Disney came up with a
character and the first
scenario for a new series!
• Disney introduced new
characters: Pluto the Dog, then
the two great winners, Goofy and
Donald Duck.

CARTOON,
FLOWERS AND
TREES.
SHOW WHITE AND
THE SEVEN DWARFS
Premiered on December 21,
1937 in time to be seen by the
large Christmas holiday
audiences!
Walter has 2
more great
creations which
are enjoyed year
round by
millions of
visitors. They
are, of course,
Disneyland in
California and
Walt Disney
World near
Orlando, Florida,
both being
probably the
greatest
amusement
parks in the
world.
It is a memorial to Walt Disney, who
always wanted to give people
good, clean fun and to introduce
them to the wonders of human
discoveries that fascinated him.
Mostly, he wanted to give
happiness to all.
