Aston Martin is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars, based in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The company’s name derives from the race Aston Clinton Hill Climb and the name of one of the founders, Lionel Martin. HISTORY Aston Martin Company was founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, who had previously engaged in Aston Martin Rapide the sale of Singer cars. Martin also held a racing car on a hill mountain Aston Hill near Aston Clinton village. Martin and Bamford decided to produce their own racing cars, a better quality of Singers.
