Objectives
Objectives and role of AOECS
The objective is to disseminate the results of the project as well as
finding potential synergistic networking partners relevant to the
technologies to be developed.
This will be facilitated by:
– Identifying and establishing a dissemination plan that
progresses with the growth of the project and its outcomes
– Identifying potential synergistic collaborations with national
programs
– Identifying other relevant research programs
– Establishing a coordinated effort through the creation of
various related networks

Key achievements - Dissemination

Presence of CD-Medics in 13 CD-related events – Most of these offered an opportunity for
networking with other major European funded Projects including PreventCD and Medicel.
Newsletters doctors’ pamphlets and brochures and posters were available for the delegates
through a dedicated exhibitors booth. A video that was produced for such occasions was
shown in a loop fashion through a large flat screen monitor. Altogether, these meetings
reached an audience of over 20,000:

3. EU project PreventCD – meetings were held during
the major CD related Scientific meetings (e.g. ICDS,
Gastroenterology week, Espghan)
4. Medicel – Conjoint networking meeting was held in
Malta on the 8th September 2011. Various topics
related to CD in the emerging Mediterranean
countries were discussed.
5. CDMedics presentation is also scheduled for the next
Medicel Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey – 30th June
2012.
