Support Rural Watch and commit to at least one crime prevention
event to establish best practice.

Community Priorities
• Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm
in line with the ‘Police Priorities’.
• This may mean that in exceptional circumstances SNT officers
may be required to work on other policing priorities.
• If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities.
This will be done in liaison with the Chair and the panel.

• Police information followed up or passed to Council
• Multi agency action plan updated
• Improved sharing of intelligence between Police SNT and the Council
• Reporting of fly tipping is encouraged, help with gathering intelligence and
evidence
• Need to consider further assistance to land owners and use of waste
disposal sites. The concerns from the forum have been raised at a County
Waste Management Partnership by Richard Dobbs the Assistant Director
Streetscape NWBC.

• Commitment to consider a Warwickshire protocol to identify what additional
assistance can be provided. A token scheme?
• On a local level Streetscape team willing to consider what help they can
provide to local land holders if a persistent problem location is identified
• Fly tipping incidents 374 collections between 1st April – 15th September
2014
• Area Forum South has approximately 37% of the incidents
• Prosecutions are sought when evidence is available to pursue
Sustainable Solutions for Warwickshire Businesses

Warwickshire’s recycling centres are offering a helping hand to
the county’s business community with the launch of a new waste
and recycling drop-off service.
Aimed predominantly at Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES),
micro businesses and sole traders, the new service is being
rolled out to eight participating recycling centres from
September 2014.
Companies can apply for a six-month commercial recycling
permit, purchase pre-paid sacks or choose to pay-as-they-throw
depending on business needs and the volume of material being
generated.
Services will be available at the following recycling centres from
September 2014:
Cherry Orchard, Kenilworth
Burton Farm, Stratford
Shipston, Shipston on Stour
Princes Drive, Leamington Spa
Hunters Lane, Rugby
– and the following recycling centres from 5 November 2014:
Stockton
Wellesbourne
Lower House Farm, Atherstone

CHANGES FROM OCTOBER 2013 – to reiterate
• WPC 86 Ellen BEATY ‘ Safer Neighbourhood Officer’ will be
responsible for the day to day Policing of the forum area.
• PCSO’s to carry out much the same role as present.
• There will be limited SNT responsibility for investigating crimes
or attending incidents. Incident response will be provided by
teams based at Bedworth and Rugby.
• All investigations will be conducted by investigation teams
based at the Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) Nuneaton.
