NOTE: Thunderstorms or severe rain will cause Team Day to be
CANCELLED.
BRING your book bag and be PREPARED for any tests that are
scheduled for Friday just in case we have to go to our regularly
scheduled classes.

You’ve probably noticed the
recent rain. (Duh.) This
means that even if it
doesn’t rain on Friday, the
fields will be a MESS.
Bring a towel:
1) for sitting and lounging
when you are not in an
event, OR
2) for drying off after you’ve
become a muddy, icky mess.

It is your responsibility to
show up for your event on

There will be a schedule
posted on a large poster,
but it is your job to know
where you need to be and
when you should be
there.

will be provided for you at no

You will also be given a red
ticket to exchange for a drink.
Please save this ticket for use
during lunch. If you lose it, you
will have to purchase your
drink.

against other teams to
weave through cones on
a course.

event, but if you would
like to compete, go to
the Scooter Scuttle area
while the event is in
progress.
Do not leave the field!
You may use the restroom with Mrs. Johnson’s
permission ONLY. (She’ll be in the concession stand.)
If you have an event in the stadium, please pass through
the ticket gate and go directly through the center path to
the stadium.

holding on to the “shoe
strings”.
• If you didn’t sign up
but would still like to,
bring your team to the
Log Shoe area when the
event is in progress.
The Azalea Festival will be going
on at the same time as our Team
Day.

Mrs. Johnson at the concessions
table BEFORE you go to meet
Mrs. Dantzler.

Dress code: School dress
code applies! You are
encouraged to wear
sunglasses, hats, and sun
screen.
You may not wear shorts or
shirts that are not appropriate
on any other day of school.
There are water balloon
events, but you may not wear a
swim suit for these events.
You’ll just have to get wet!
• Teams must have a minimum of five girls (there is no male
minimum).
• The original team is the only group that can advance in the
tournament. No substitutes can be made after your first round.
• If you lose a player, you must advance with fewer team
members.
BIR, anyone?
This could be YOU.
Anyone who:
• cannot handle the freedom of
Team Day,
• fails to follow instructions,
• leaves the back field without
permission, or
• behaves unsafely
will be dismissed from the
day’s events and spend the day
in BIR. Someone tests this
every year. Who will it be this
year?
• Each partner tosses a water
balloon to the other partner.
• Partners attempt to catch the
balloon tossed to them.
• After each toss, one step is
taken backwards.
• When the team breaks its last
balloon, both players sit or
squat in place.
• The team with the greatest
distance between the two
partners wins.
Check the weather
on Friday morning.
If the weather report
calls for rain, bring
your book bag to
school. If events
get cancelled, you
will go to class.
• Track events will be first thing in the morning, starting at
8:45ish.
• Go immediately to the starting area.

Clean up of the
field will begin at

All students will
help completely
clear the field of
equipment,
supplies, and trash.
• This event is on-going
throughout the day. Just
stop by anytime you’d like
to compete.
• The person throwing the
ball the greatest distance
wins!
AFTER we’ve cleaned the field, we will go into the
auditorium for the announcements of each event’s
winners.
Medals will be awarded to 1st – 3rd place (for most
events).
