Situation

As you are thinking of a career in a profession with a standard dress code, you decide to listen to a talk on the radio on the subject of ‘dress in the workplace’. You made the notes below while listening to this talk.

Decide first if you are in favour or against uniforms.

Then jot down ideas and key words to support your point of view.

Next write an essay scheme (your ‘notes’ from the radio talk come in useful here!) Make sure you think in paragraphs!

Remember: the final paragraph must follow logically from the preceding paragraphs.

When you have written your essay, ask a fellow student to read your work. Revise where necessary.

Only hand in the finished product after having checked grammar and spelling.
