CONTROLS TEAM
Shifting
• Prototyped mechanical aspects of electronic shifting in the shop.
• Designed the actuator mount in SolidWorks.
• Compiled the order form for the actuator and actuator mount material.
Pedal Assembly
• Some issues have caused Pedal Assembly not to be finished
• Throttle and clutch pedals will be thinner version of brake pedal
• Order forms for steering have been completed and turned in

COOLING AND FUEL SYSTEM
Cooling
• Finalized design choices for ordering
parts for cooling and fuel systems
• Choices are based on needs, quality of
products and budget considerations
• Radiator: Speedway Universal Ford /
Mopar
– 19” x 22” x 2.25”
– 2 rows of coolant tubes
– Highly efficient due to use of maximum fins
per Inch to increase air cooling surface
area
– Cost effective at 129$
• Fan: 14” Electric Fan
– 1500cfm
• 3” x 9” over flow tank
• Coolant hoses and associated
adapters
Fuel Cell
• Completed Solid Works 3D design – design utilizes 2mm (to support welding)
and 5052 aluminum to keep weight low.
•
To be donated by Bauer Compressors
• Finalized design choices and completed cost list for ordering parts
•
•
•
New Pressure gauge (0-100psi , Aeromotive)
Materials to fabricate a fuel filler neck and vent
PTFE SS Fuel hoses – chosen for its compatibility with high Octane fuels
•
•
•
Durable, chemically and heat resistant
Blank fuel rail for fuel injection
Fuel cell safety foam – a modification in sloshing control from baffles
EXHAUST
Exhaust Progress
• Exhaust redesigned to
reduce losses and fix
interface
• Order forms completed
• Awaiting funding to
purchase parts
What’s Left
• Fabrication
• Wrap headers
• Final Assembly
