Superlatives
Superlatives are used to say
which is the biggest, the
tallest,
the
fastest,the
longest...etc. In a group.
“Lake Laikal in Russia is the
biggest lake in the world”
Adjective-ComparativeSuperlative
Spain is a large country
Brazil is larger than Spain
Russia is the largest
country in the world.


It always goes “the”
before the superlative:
“He's the tallest”
“she's the shortest”
RULES
RULE 1. One syllable
adjectives add -EST.
“Alonso was the FASTEST racing
driver in formula 1”

in+names of places or singular
words for groups of people.
Eg “It's the noisiest city in the world”

We often use “the+superlative adj
with the present perfect+ever.
Eg “It's the best film I've ever seen this
year” “It's the most beautiful city I've
ever been to”
