What does good look like?
Nutrition
•
•
•
The recommended daily calorie intake for men
is 2,500 and 2,000 calories per day for women
It’s recommended we eat at least five portions
of fruit and veg a day
Good nutrition can reduce our risk of serious
health conditions such as heart disease and
some cancers
What does good look like?
Hydration
•
•
•
It’s recommended that we drink a minimum of
eight 200ml glasses of water every day
Drinking fluid regularly prevents the effects of
dehydration, including dizziness, headaches and
tiredness
We need more water if we’re very active or it’s
very hot
What does good look like?
Exercise
•
•
It’s recommended that adults aged 16
to 64 do 150 minutes of moderate
intensity aerobic activity every week
Our bodies are deigned to be active
and there are many health benefits to
regular exercise
What does good look like?
Sleep
•
•
Most healthy adults require around eight
hours sleep per night, to function at their best
during the day
Getting the right amount of sleep can reduce
your risk of heart disease, improve your
ability to cope with stress and help maintain
a healthy waistline
Are you taking the healthy lifestyle challenge?
•
•
You could take on the Exec
as a team, working together
to obtain more healthy
lifestyle credits
You could set yourself a
personal challenge and see
if you can achieve the
‘perfect’ week
