What is an adaptation?
 An adaptation is a change in an organism’s
physical structure or behavior that helps it to
survive in its habitat.
Two types of adaptations
 Physical
Body structure, color,
fangs, etc.
Behavioral
Changes to action
Migration, hibernation, etc.
Who experiences adaptations?
All species have experienced adaptation
 Organisms slowly adapt and pass on
adaptation to the next generation
