Nikola Tesla :
Master of Electricity
Nikola Tesla, a once living marvel of electromagnetics.
In 1873, Tesla studied at
Realschule in Carlstadt,
The Polytechnic Institute
in Graz, Austria, and the
University of Prague.
Nikola intended to
specialize in Physics and
Mathematics, but soon
became fascinated with
electricity. Tesla then
began his career as an
electrical engineer with a
telephone company in
Budapest, in 1881.
Nikola Tesla was born in Smiljan,
Lita. On July 10, 1856. Tesla’s
father Milutin Tesla, was a
Orthodox Priest. Tesla’s mother
Djuka Mandic was an inventor of
household appliences.
It was then one day,
Tesla was walking
with a friend in the city
park when it came to
Tesla, the elusive
solution of rotating the
magnetic field flashed
through Nikola’s mind.
Tesla then wrote in
the sand with a stick
explaining his theory
to his friend.
After building a prototype and testing, Tesla was unable
to interest any wealthy investors. Nikola Tesla then
joined the Continental Edison Company in Paris,
France. There he had the idea of a generator that
would send electrical energy along distribution lines
first one way, then another way, multiple waves. Using
the Polyphase Principle. (below, Actor, Jonathan Young
playing Nikola Tesla in an episode of the TV show
Sanctuary.)
