Transcript God’s Amazing Plan of Redemption

Of First Importance…
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I
preached to you, which also you received and in which you
stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that
word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all (of 1st importance- NASB)
that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins
according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and
that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After
that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of
whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all
the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by
one born out of due time. 1 Cor. 15:1-8
A Serious Warning…To
Christians
“But even if we, or an angel from
heaven, should preach to you a gospel
contrary to what we have preached to
you, he is to be accursed!”
-Galatians 1:8
We must get this gospel right!
THE
GOSPEL
1. They must see their need for the Gospel. They
must see they are sinful people before a Holy God.
They are God’s enemies; subject to His wrath
2. God provided a way of salvation: The Gospel-
Death, Burial, & Resurrection of Christ (1 Cor.
15:1-7)
3. They must respond to the Gospel on God’s terms

Enemies of God!
• God’s wrath abides
on the sinner (John
3:36; Psalm 5:4-5)
• If the sinner dies as
an enemy of God,
they will be
condemned to Hell
(the second death,
Rev 20:14)
A Desperate Situation
We find ourselves in a very
desperate situation:
We have broken the laws of the God
of the universe. Because of this we
are God’s enemies and subject to the
wrath of a Holy God if we die in this
condition.
God gave us a way to pay
the price for sin!
Jesus
Christ!
Saved from God’s Wrath
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in
that while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us. 9 Much more then, having now been
justified by His blood, we shall be saved from
the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if
while we were enemies we were reconciled to
God through the death of His Son, much
more, having been reconciled, we shall be
saved by His life.

What Must I do to be saved?
(Born Again)
We need
God’s
answer!
He gives it in Acts 2
Acts 2: The 1st Gospel Sermon
When Peter preached to the crowd on
the day of Pentecost, they believed
the gospel and were convicted of
their sin.
They asked the Apostles:
“Men and Brethren,
What shall we do?” (Acts 2:37)
How did Peter answer this
question?
Did Peter answer by saying..
