The mission of CSNO, the leading force for excellence in
student healthcare, is to ensure school nurses optimize
student health and enhance learning through a network
distinguished by:
• Providing grassroots efforts by the five regional sections;
• Developing and providing professional learning
communities that empower school nurses;
• Fostering leadership development;
• Establishing policy and providing advocacy;
• Implementing and disseminating standards of practice for
school nurses; and
• Conducting research and utilizing evidence-based practice.
