Don’t Grieve The Spirit
Finding out what
pleases the Lord.
Receive Power
• Acts 1:8 (NASB77)
8 but you shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My
witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of
the earth."
Don’t Corrupt The Temple
• 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NASB77)
16 Do you not know that you are a temple of
God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God
will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy,
and that is what you are.
Don’t Grieve The Holy Spirit
• Ephesians 4:30 (NASB77)
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by
whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption.
Don’t Let Anger Rule
• Ephesians 4:25-26 (NASB77)
25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK
TRUTH, EACH ONE of you, WITH HIS
NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one
another.
26 BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let
the sun go down on your anger,
Don’t Help The Devil
• Ephesians 4:27 (NASB77)
27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.
The Opposite Spirit
• Ephesians 4:28 (NASB77)
28 Let him who steals steal no longer; but rather
let him labor, performing with his own hands
what is good, in order that he may have
something to share with him who has need.
Grace Filled Words
• Ephesians 4:29 (NASB77)
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your
mouth, but only such a word as is good for
edification according to the need of the moment,
that it may give grace to those who hear.
Be Kind
• Ephesians 4:31-32 (NASB77)
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and
clamor and slander be put away from you, along
with all malice.
32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted,
forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also
has forgiven you.
Heavenly Perfume Of Love
• Ephesians 5:1-2 (NASB77)
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved
children;
2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you,
and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a
sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
No Coarse Jesting
• Ephesians 5:3-4 (NASB77)
3 But do not let immorality or any impurity or
greed even be named among you, as is proper
among saints;
4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk,
or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but
rather giving of thanks.
Learn What Pleases God
• Ephesians 5:8-10 (NASB77)
8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you
are light in the Lord; walk as children of light
9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all
goodness and righteousness and truth),
10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
