Parent Information Meeting
September 13th 2009
Introduction
 Please quiet cell phones as we have little time for
interruptions
 Please keep notes, we will have a question/answer time
at the end of the meeting
 We will attempt to give you all information needed
within 30 minutes

 Most competitive league in Colorado for grades 6-8
 January 3rd – February 14th
 Tournament follows regular season
 February 21st, 26th, 27th, 28th
 $1350 per team (average 8-9 players per team)
 Gym Time is not part of the cost - ~$100 per player
 Double Headers on Sundays
 Minimum 15 games
 2-4 Tournaments
 Registration no later than September 30th with full
payment to DYBA assigned team

$155 grades 3-5
$165 grades 6-8
~$100 grades 6-8 that are playing Gold Crown
County Leagues has many differing levels of play

 Games on weekdays and Saturdays
Commitment
 Higher the level, Higher the commitment
 Mandatory attendance at practice within reason
 Cost and Time commitments are drastically different




between Gold Crown teams and League teams
Any Gold Crown tryout attendance is $100 deposit
$10 deposit for all league tryouts
If not selected for a Gold Crown team a refund of $90
Program Fundraiser – Spaghetti Dinner, commit to
selling 10 tickets per player. Students will work the
dinner.

 Grades 3-8
 Teams should be similar talent for best competition
 Some student athletes will be referred to the league or
YMCA to further their skills if a team can not be
formed
 3 days to form teams
 Teams will be announced on the Jr Jags website
 Teams announced using the number the student
athlete wears during tryouts

 4th Grade – 7 (Need at least 1 or 2 more)
 5th Grade – 21

 K-2 program. Proposed to be after school and create a
fun atmosphere to learn basketball.

Coach Pachner before, during, and after a Varsity
Game
 Fundraiser Dinner
 Criminal Background checks on all Team Managers,
Coaches, Ast. Coaches and any other authority figure
on each team
