These strategic goals align to the DHET’s. Fasset has launched some new and exciting initiatives: NSFAS Loan Repayment Grant • Employed learner or an employer representative may apply • African learners will be relieved of the NSFAS financial burden Internship Programme Accreditation • Internships that fall into the graduate work-based category New Website • Improved navigation Fasset Update October / November 2012 Fasset Update Grant Deadlines October / November 2012 Grant Implementation Year 2012 (Jan to Dec) Assessor and Moderator Grant (AMG) 15 February 2013 Strategic Cash Grant (SCG) 15 February 2013 Small Medium & Micro Enterprises (SMME) Grant 15 February 2013 Learnership Cash Grant (LCG) 15 February 2013 NSFAS Loan Repayment Grant (NLRG) 15 February 2013 Mandatory Grant (MG) 30 June 2013 Development Projects Fasset Update October / November 2012 Designed to assist unemployed learners (NQF levels 4 – 8) and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and workplace experience • Fasset has approved 13 new projects for this year. • Details on each project can be found on the website: www.fasset.org.za • Currently conducting a Tracer study to evaluate the impact of the projects that have already completed.
