BLOCK SCHEDULE
Schedules were sent earlier this week
 Students take 4 core classes per year:
Language Arts, Math, Science & Social Studies.
 Students take 4 semesters of electives per
year. They rotate on an A-Day/B-Day basis. All
students take PE/Health for a semester.
 Enrichment daily from 3:45pm – 4:15pm


Homework zone, study hall, relooping, reading time,
character education, “Teen Time”
A TYPICAL DAY AT OUR “HOUSE”
Arrival – not before 8:45am
 Lockers (rental fee and form come home day one)
 First Block – Academics
 Second Block – Academics and Lunch


Lunch with 2nd block teacher beginning at 10:50am
Third Block – Academics
 Fourth Block – Electives
 Enrichment – Dismissal @ 4:15pm


Car riders and ASEP first, buses called by grade level, walkers last
SCHEDULE CHANGES
Will only be done for clear errors in LA and/or
Math placement**
 An error with Band/Orchestra
 An error with EC/Inclusion
 All requests MUST be placed in writing to the

HONORING ACADEMIC TIME
Protecting class time for ALL students is a top
priority.
 For early dismissals - To limit interruptions,
please send a note with your child indicating
the time you will arrive; have your child bring
the note directly to the office. Please be
prompt.
 Minimize “deliveries”(lunch deliveries – you will need to sign in

at the main office and take the labeled lunch to the cafeteria)

Call the GLA for emergency situations
HONORING ACADEMIC TIME
Students must be in the classroom from bell to
bell.
 Please no early dismissals after 3:45pm
 Tardies will not be acceptable – any block; on
third unexcused tardy, consequences will begin
 Allow time for Traffic – if late, you will have to
park and come to the office to sign your child
into school

